Map and Transport

It is easy to reach West Norway by train, plane or ferry. Main "hubs" for international and domestic transport are Stavanger city in Rogaland county, Bergen city in Hordaland county and Førde town in Sogn og Fjordane county. Express buses operates all across Norway. In west Norway there are also a number of local express boats between towns and fjords. Distinctive features on travelling in west norway are the ferrys crossing the fjords, the rough conditions, narrow roads, long distances and magnificent scenery.
